Friendly Poofers

The thing I love the most about summer are the majestic cloud formations. Who doesn't remember laying in the cool grass looking for special characters or objects in the clouds. A favorite activity with my children. Imagination. Powerful, colorful, these friendly poofers are one of my favorite painting inspirations.

Blooming in the North East

My latest oil painting added to my etsy shop.  These were tulips given to me for Mother's Day 2010.  I planted them, the stalks came up early but no flowers this year.  I spent the past few days working in my yard.  The garden shops  are amazing vast expanses of color.  I could browse for hours.  I wish I knew more about gardening...I finally settled on some things that I am not sure exactly what they are, I will photograph tomorrow.  My neighbor Tracy gave me 7 rosebushes from the store that she works for, they were throwing them out because they were not selling well.  My Iris plants I inherited from my sister and they are in full bloom and absolutely gorgeous, my hydraenga is ready to bloom.  This is my favorite time of year.  I love landscape painting, but in my heart I think I am a floral painter.
